Today was a relatively easy 48 mile day. The first part was mostly on a hard packed trail and the rest of the day the route weaved in and out of residential neighborhoods in Bucks County, PA. We ended a few miles north of Philly in Fort Washington, PA. We are staying in a Best Western motel because there are no campgrounds in this area.

We did have rain this afternoon but it was only of limited duration.

We passed a number of large estates and horse farms. Hal insisted on my taking the above picture of him in front of this sign - it was raining at the time.
