One of many Confederate Army monuments in Richmond, VA.
We covered 70 miles today despite going slowly through Richmond. Some parts of the City look a lot like the Georgetown area of DC. Overall it looked like a nice city. It was ironic to see the large sports stadium in the City named Arthur Ashe stadium!
Most of the day was flat so we were able to cover more miles at a faster pace than on previous days.
We are camping very close to Jamestown, VA at the Chickahomeny county park which is along the Chickahomey River. Interestingly, I started my cross country bike trip in 1976 very close to the place we are currently camping.
