Breaking camp this morning at a state park in Carolina Beach, NC. This was one of the nicest campgrounds we stayed at and it was only $15 for all three of us. A lot of wildlife in the campground including a raccoon and a bunch of deer. Also heard what sounded like an owl. Tonight we are staying at Captain Andy's Family Campground in Calabash, NC which cost $30 for the three of us. The best I can say about this campground is that it is funky!!! I think we are camped over the septic system.

We almost made SC today but based on the campground locations we stopped a little short of the border after riding a total of 58 miles today.

The Adventure Cycling route goes inland around Charleston, SC and Savannah. However, we may deviate from the route and continue down the coast to Charleston - that will be a breakfast discussion tomorrow morning.

Had to take a repair break this morning in Southport to fix my recumbent seat. A little duct tape, a few plastic ties, and my Swiss Army pen knife allowed me to successfully fix it.
