After a nice stay in an old inn in Ocracoke it was a quick half mile ride to the ferry from Ocracoke to Cedar Island. We made the 10 am ferry which takes a little over 2 hours. The ferry is operated by the state of NC so it is heavily subsidized - only $3 for a person and a bicycle! We are going 23 miles across Pamilco Sound.
