Today we rode 48 miles to Camden Hills State Park in Camden, Maine. The last 15 miles were a killer due to continuous roller coaster hills which I found pretty hard on a recumbent bike.
This picture a neat bridge we rode over which crosses the Penobscot River. The rider in the pic is one of the 3 people in our small group.
We met several long distance bikers today. One couple just completed a ride from the west coast and were headed to Bar Harbor, Maine.
We met Peter on the road today and are camping with him. He started in Dayton, Ohio and is doing a loop which will take him down the coast to DC and then to San Diego. He has already done a 1,000 miles so far and today he did 88 miles including the same hills I did in my 48 mile ride. Peter is 69 years old and I don't think I could keep up with him!!
